After my mother’s lymphoma removal surgery, consulted Dr Damayanthi Pieris via Apeksha Hospital. She kept saying that after the lymph node is removed, no further treatment is needed for now. Even when my mom said that she can feel another node on the other side of the neck. She kept on saying to wait and see, didn’t even do an ultrasound.
After that I’ve finally had enough and consulted another oncologist who properly checked and did another surgery to remove the node that my mom was talking about which the biopsy confirmed to be cancerous. And then proceeded with chemotherapy.
Now after about 6 sessions, she’s been cancer free for about 5 years now.
If we just listened to this Damayanthi Pierirs and waited my mom’s cancer would have spread all over the body and she might not be alive.
