Dr (Ms.) SHANEZ FERNANDO

I met Dr. Shanez Fernando at a time when I had completely lost faith in Sri Lankan psychologists. Without a doubt, she ranks at the absolute top of the top 2 psychologists in the country. Despite her extensive experience and qualifications, she charges much less than less-qualified counselors. I am honestly tempted to believe she is psychic. Go to her if you don't want to waste your time or money, and if you are looking for brutal honesty. She will help you in the fewest sessions possible.

My experience with her was very disappointing. She implies her personal experiences and even her religious beliefs during sessions, which is not what I expected from a therapist. If I wanted that, I would have gone to a damn temple, not therapy. She was not empathetic or kind—in fact, she came across as very cold. At one point, she even told me, “Do not date, guys only want to get inside your pants.” This made me resent therapy for a while.
