I was quite disappointed with my recent consultation with Dr. Devika Suraweera at Osro Hospitals, Kegalle. I visited to get treatment for a skin rash in a private area, but the doctor did not examine my condition properly and did not show enough respect or concern for my privacy. There was no covered or private area in the channeling room, and she asked me to show the affected area in the same spot, observing it from a distance without a proper examination. This was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. I believe both the doctor and the hospital should take steps to ensure patient privacy and dignity are properly maintained during consultations.
