I am writing to formally raise a serious concern regarding the treatment provided to my mother at Nawaloka Hospital under the care of Dr. Arjuna De Silva.
My mother was admitted due to breathing difficulties. During her initial days of hospitalization, I believe the treatment plan provided was inappropriate and may have contributed to a severe deterioration in her condition. She later suffered a stroke and became unconscious. Following this, she experienced long-term complications and has been suffering for the past two years.
Additionally, I am deeply concerned about the continuity of care. The doctor attended for the first few days and then went on leave for approximately one week, during a critical period of her treatment. This lack of consistent supervision caused significant distress to our family.
We were also charged approximately 50 lakhs for the treatment. At one point, treatment was reportedly interrupted due to payment issues, which added further emotional and financial stress during an already critical situation.
My brother, who is a medical professional, later reviewed my mother’s case and raised concerns regarding the treatment approach. These concerns have left our family questioning the quality and appropriateness of care provided.
I had a very disappointing experience with the treatment provided. The level of care and attention did not meet basic expectations, and I was left feeling concerned about the overall quality of service.
Based on my experience, the standard of care was far below what I expected. Communication was unclear, and I did not feel confident in the treatment decisions made.
I am extremely dissatisfied with the care provided. There appeared to be a lack of proper assessment and follow-through, which significantly impacted our trust in the service.
The overall experience was very poor. I felt that important concerns were not properly addressed, and the level of professionalism did not meet acceptable standards.
I would not recommend this doctor based on our experience. We expected careful attention and clear guidance but instead faced uncertainty and dissatisfaction.
