Welcome to docreview.lk (“we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, and any content, functionality, and features provided through the platform (collectively, the “Platform”).
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements to use this Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
2. Platform Purpose
The Platform enables users to:
- Search for doctors and healthcare providers
- View doctor profiles and public reviews
- Submit written reviews based on personal healthcare experiences
docreview.lk is not a healthcare provider. The information provided on the Platform is user-generated and for informational purposes only. It should not be considered medical advice or a substitute for professional consultation.
3. User Conduct
You agree to use the Platform in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and not to engage in any of the following prohibited conduct:
- Submitting false, misleading, defamatory, or unlawful reviews
- Impersonating any individual or entity
- Disclosing personal health information (PHI) or confidential data of third parties
- Using bots, crawlers, or scrapers to extract content
- Attempting to interfere with or compromise the security of the Platform
We reserve the right to remove or modify any content that violates these Terms or our moderation standards.
4. Doctor Profiles and Claims
Doctor profiles are generated from publicly available data or submitted by verified sources. If you are a listed healthcare provider, you may request to claim and manage your profile by contacting support@docreview.lk. We may request identity verification prior to granting access or making changes.
We reserve the right to verify the credentials of anyone claiming a profile and to deny or revoke access if fraudulent intent is suspected.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including but not limited to text, logos, graphics, and software, is the property of docreview.lk or its licensors, protected under intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any portion of the Platform without our prior written consent.
6. Disclaimers
- We do not verify the accuracy or reliability of user-submitted reviews.
- We do not endorse any specific doctor or medical treatment listed on the Platform.
- Your reliance on any information obtained through the Platform is solely at your own risk.
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, docreview.lk, its founders, affiliates, and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:
- Use or inability to use the Platform
- Any user-generated content
- Errors or omissions in the Platform’s content
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless docreview.lk, its affiliates, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to our interests or other users.
10. Modifications to the Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the Platform following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
