Very, very judgemental and rude. Told me to focus on my studies instead of my skin…. Recommends not to use lip balm too. I do not recommend this doctor at all

    Zero stars if I could.

I have been taking my daughter to Dr. Fathima Hasmiya at Delmon Hospital for nearly three years, with monthly visits throughout that time. Unfortunately, the experience has become increasingly disappointing due to the doctor’s professionalism, communication style, and lack of consideration for patients’ time.

Dr. Fathima Hasmiya is frequently late to appointments, often by 30 to 40 minutes, despite patients arriving on time and following clinic instructions. What is even more frustrating is that appointments often feel rushed, with very little proper explanation provided regarding treatment plans, medications, or pediatric skin concerns.

Most consultations consist of brief responses such as “no, don’t use that” without clearly explaining the reasoning behind those decisions or educating parents on the condition being treated. Patients come to a specialist for guidance and clarity, especially when dealing with pediatric skincare issues, and it is unreasonable to assume that parents already understand every scenario or treatment approach.

On our most recent visit, we were specifically asked by the doctor to return two weeks after the medication finished. However, the medication itself only finished around the three week mark, which is when we came in. We were also clearly told that we could come and show the blood reports without needing an appointment, which we had done previously without issue.

After arriving and waiting for nearly two hours with a child on a school night, we were suddenly informed at the very end that we would need to pay for a full consultation to see the doctor after all. This was never communicated when we arrived. Both the staff and the doctor were extremely rude and dismissive when we questioned the situation, despite us simply following the instructions we had been given.

After nearly three years as loyal patients, it is extremely disappointing to experience repeated lateness, rushed consultations, poor communication, and a clear lack of empathy and professionalism toward patients and parents.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this doctor based on my experience.
